I often get error messages.

I often get error messages. I, in turn, have to use 2-3 other expensive strips to finally get a reading.

Hi,
Thank you for your comment. The ketone test strips require more blood for a result. A .7 mcroL of blood sample is needed to yield a result, vs. .5mcroL for glucose testing. If not enough blood is fed to the test strip, the meter will return an error message.

Try rubbing the site of lancing to stimulate the blood circulation and squeeze after lancing to get a sample size larger than the amount you think you might need. With a bit of getting used to, our customers often can get the hang of drawing sufficient amount of blood for testing.
